Author's Message

Greetings prospective reader! Your decision to consider reading the revised 2nd edition of my "coaching type" book, Intentional Integrity: Aligning Your Life With God's Values, is a good one!

The first major encouragement I had as I was completing the manuscript for the original book, was the quality of the feedback I received from the credible men and women who I had asked to read and endorse the book. Their comments were heart warming. They are listed in this section.

The second major encouragement came after the book was released. The flow of affirmations I've continued to receive month after month from readers is gratifying. Their comments about the usefulness and value of the integrity management tools and how they have helped them build more balanced, bountiful and beneficial lives gives me confidence that the writing effort was worth it all.

Feedback from readers motivated me to design the new revised edition in an easy-to-use 8 1/2 X 11" format. The type is more readable and taking the surveys and inventories found throughout the book will be much easier. There is also ample room in the margins for making special personal notes.

I commend this inexpensive, practical, coaching type book to you with the knowledge that it will help you be your best and contribute your best at home and work. The tools outlined will help you build the balanced, bountiful and beneficial life and career that you desire. They will also help you increase your critical personal reserves -- physical, emotional, time and financial.

Two closing thoughts I share with you. The first is that integrity matters, now and forever. The second is Intentional Integrity is the right foundation for gaining and maintaining a stellar life, career, marriage, family and enterprise.

May you be richly rewarded as you read the revised edition of Intentional Integrity, use the surveys, apply the principles and tools and a achieve a more balanced, bountiful and beneficial life and career.

What Well Known Readers Say About the Book!

Zig Ziglar, Chairman, The Zig Ziglar Corporation

"My favorite saying is, "You've got to be before you can do and do before you can have." Intentional Integrity teaches how to be--and the importance of being--the right kind of person in order to do the right kinds of things so you can have what's truly important. It's true that all great failures are character failures and here's a book on character that if followed, will help eliminate the great failures and create great successes. Valuable information."
General Charles Krulak, Commandant of the Marine Corps.
This leadership handbook is firmly rooted in Christian values, which makes it an indispensable tool for guiding us through life's challenges. It is refreshing for a book to offer a practical, workable plan for self-improvement rather than simply bemoan the shortcoming of our society.”
Florence Littauer, President - CLASS Speakers, Inc.
"In a day when apparent guilt seems to be rewarded and the black and white of right and wrong have been gray at best ... even in Christian circles ... Millard MacAdam has produced a valuable tool in Intentional Integrity. By bringing us back to the scriptural foundations of our country and the absolutes of right and wrong, he lays out an important and workable plan for re-introducing integrity into every part of our lives--personal or professional, and therefore creating a balanced and beneficial life. The accountability PACT concept is a must for every Christian leader!"
William L. Armstrong, Former Senator, Colorado
  • "When it comes to integrity, it's easy to "talk the talk," but Millard MacAdam's new book recognizes how hard it is to "walk the walk." Intentional Integrity concentrates on "how to" specifics and the wonderful blessing that God has for those who follow His ethical standards. It's a book worth reading."
Phil Downer, President, Christian Business Men's Committee, USA
  • "Mac MacAdam is a committed business leader: committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and committed to helping Christians in business learn how to apply scriptural principles in the workplace. Intentional Integrity addresses a topic that is essential if we are to be "salt and light" in the world in which we live and work. In Intentional Integrity, you will find a treasury of practical and biblically based principles for making integrity central to your personal life and your business."
Sylvia Nash, President, Christian Healthcare Network
  • "This book confronts the issue of integrity head on. It is a tremendous practical guide addressing the critical issues of living a balanced, bountiful, and beneficial life. Millard MacAdam uses helpful tools for self evaluation to help determine areas of our life that need attention. He shares relevant issues we all face and gives meaningful solutions to help us make responsible decisions in the area of integrity. I thoroughly enjoyed this book."
Joe C. Aldrich, President, Multnomah Bible College and Bible Seminary
  • "Integrity seems to be the lost chord in our relativistic culture. Dr. Millard MacAdam's new book, Intentional Integrity is must reading for those who are committed to taking the high road. Successful people find out how the system works and then stay on the good side of how things work. Intentional Integrity lays out that path, hands you a road map, and invites you to join the journey."
Ted W. Engstrom, President Emeritus, World Vision
  • "Integrity is a word for our times in every discipline--in politics, business, the professions--and particularly for the church. We who are Christians need to know that the foundation for integrity lies with God. In this highly readable and enjoyable book Millard MacAdam clearly and definitely demonstrates that integrity is an intentional grace to be sought by us all if we are to live lives pleasing to God.
John Tolson, President, The Gathering/USA, Inc.
  • "Millard MacAdam desires that we have a life worth living. That kind of life is not automatic. It comes through intentional strategies. In order to get and give the most in life, this thoughtful and practical book on bottom line living is a must."
Beverly LaHaye, President, Concerned Women for America
  • "Dr. Millard MacAdam issues a challenge for thoughtful purposeful living that cannot be ignored. But he does not stop there. He answers the call with the principles and skits necessary for a balanced life. Intentional Integrity is a must read for today's leader- You!"
